10th International School and Conference on Physics and Applications of Spin Phenomena in Solids  (Created: 2018-03-13)

Die ÖPG unterstütz eine/n ausgewählten Studenten / ausgewählte Studentinn die Konferenz "10th International School and Conference on Physics and Applications
of Spin Phenomena in Solids" zu besuchen. Stellvertretend für die Organisation der Konferenz möchten wir interessierte Studenten und Studentinnen auf folgende Nachricht von Fr. Prof.  Alberta Bonanni hinweisen:

The 10th International School and Conference on Physics and Applications
of Spin Phenomena in Solids - PASPS10 will take place at the Johannes
Kepler University in Linz - Austria from the 05th through the 09th of
August, 2018.

A satellite of the ICPS2018 [34th International Conference on the Physics
of Semiconductors], PASPS10 continues the series - initiated in the year
2000 in Sendai, Japan - which has developed in an established biennial
platform to highlight the latest developments and to identify the most
promising and challenging directions of the physics and applications of
spin phenomena in solids. With the 2018 edition, the Conference will be
complemented by a School (Tutorials) intended to provide a comprehensive
introduction to the topics and issues tackled by the conference. The
Austrian Physical Society (ÖPG) will cover the conference fee for one
selected student affiliated to an Austrian Institution (excluding the JKU
Linz, which is hosting the event). Requirements to participate in the
selection: 1] submission of Abstract (and Abstract Information)  - with
the student (undergraduate/graduate) as presenting author - by the April
1st, 2018  deadline [following the guidelines at the conference link
http://www.jku.at/conferences/pasps10]; 2] curriculum vitae of the
applicant; 3] short motivation letter (max. 1 A4); 4] name and email
address of reference person(s). Please send the complete submission
package to PASPS10@jku.atPASPS10@jku.at>. Information on the
applications will be provided by May 15, 2018. Looking forward to a broad
participation, I send my best regards, Alberta Bonanni (Chair of PASPS10)
